Save the Date! Dance Teacher Workshop August 2-4, 2024!

Dance Teacher Workshop features 3 days of training to address the specific needs of dance teachers!

BDC’s renowned faculty and celebrated guest teachers will present innovative methodologies and discuss new ways to engage students. Connect with fellow teachers and reignite your creativity! All classes are in Eastern Time (New York).

This workshop is for dance educators ages 18+

Cover a wide variety of disciplines and levels
Learn in a dance studio setting with limited workshop sizes to ensure interaction and feedback
Receive 2 complimentary classes from BDC's drop-in class schedule to use during the event (classes expire 2 weeks after workshop end date)

Workshop structure:

Friday:

Take 2 classes from BDC's Drop in Class schedule at our W45th St. location (9:30a-4:15p)
Dance Teacher Workshop classes at our W65th St. location (4:30-8:30p)

Saturday:

Dance Teacher Workshop classes at our W65th St. location (9:15a-6:45p)
Dance Teacher Workshop wine and cheese mingle at W65th (7-8:30p)

Sunday:

Dance Teacher Workshop classes at our W65th St. location (9a-6:45p)

All classes and events are optional, and you are free to go in and out of class at any time. During each class time, there will be 3-4 classes happening simultaneously. You can choose any of the classes; no need to choose ahead of time. You are also free to sit and observe, participate, or go to multiple sessions (leave early/enter late).

Refund Policy

Participants that withdraw on or before two weeks prior to workshop start date are eligible for a refund less an administrative fee of $50. No refunds will be given after this date.

LOCATION

The upcoming Dance Teacher Workshop is held at our BDC Children and Teens location at 37 W65 St. in New York City.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY

Scholarship for Underrepresented Teaching Artists

Broadway Dance Center offers a scholarship opportunity in each session of the Dance Teacher Workshop for applicants who are underrepresented in dance. The scholarship will be awarded to a dance teacher with a unique perspective, inclusive of race, color, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, age or physical ability.

Applicants should complete the application form by June 3, 2024. Recipients will be notified by June 10, 2024.
