Through her yoga offerings, Rosie aims to strike the balance between discipline and surrender. Her classes incorporate multiple diverse movement practices rooted in breath, consciousness, and alchemizing discomfort. A steady, grounding pace provides the framework for a moving meditation and the embodiment of a flow state.
Combining the meditative tone of yoga with an intricate, kinetically diverse movement vocabulary, this class researches the impact of external and internal forces on the body in order to yield authentic methods of moving in the moment. The intention is to capture artistic nuances and genuine methods of communication in the context of streamlined pathways and percussive variances. Dynamic conditioning techniques, fused with guided improvisation, provide the dancers with the dexterity and endurance necessary to execute phrasework with an advanced level of rigor and individualism. Visceral imagery, texture, constraints and allowances, and energetic cues provide the dancers with a range of expression that champions and nurtures their fullest capacities.
