Jamie Salmon received her professional ballet training as a youth with Dana Kennedy, Melissa Hayden and Paul Meija. She attended the North Carolina School of the Arts for Jr. high and high school. Jamie's class is dedicated to the physical, mental and artistic development of the dancer and student whether novice or professional. Her passionate, 'hands on' approach with physical and verbal guidance in a nurturing, and positive environment where she draws from her professional training in the Cechetti, Russian, Balanchine and Bournonville techniques, brings out the finest qualities in each individual student.

Please note; since this is an all levels class, it is at the teacher's sole discretion to ask a dancer to finish the class on demi-pointe at any time. This is to ensure the student's safety and learning at the proper level based on the student’s perceived capabilities at that time. Pointe shoes and sewing of ribbons and elastics should be appropriate for class. Students should come prepared with a knowledge of ballet vocabulary and an understanding of placement and alignment.
