Emily Dail is a New York City based dancer with a huge passion for movement and community. Originally from Charleston, South Carolina, Emily grew up loving dance and the people it surrounded her with. Upon moving to NYC, Emily attended Marymount Manhattan College getting her BFA in Dance, and performed many works including Peter Chu’s. Now, Emily has the great honor of learning from her mentor Emily Greenwell, and assists her for various classes, pieces, events and workshops. She is also an artist for Emily Greenwell’s company, CLOUDE. She has gained so much knowledge and inspiration through working with Emily Greenwell, and feels so grateful to be able to carry it to her students as well. She also feels deeply grateful to being mentored and working with Chelsea Thedinga, and is in her new upcoming dance film! Emily feels lucky to be training under Anneke Hansen learning neuromuscular work, as well as learning from Kathryn McCormick and doing her own work through Kathryn’s Neurosculpting and Somatic Experience sessions. Emily will always be a student and loves to continue learning and growing, and feels so lucky to be surrounded by so many inspiring artists who have shaped her into who she is. Emily is ecstatic to be teaching various classes, as well as assisting for this year! Through assisting Emily Greenwell on a video project for the Junior Training Program last year she had the incredible opportunity of connecting with BDC’s CTP, and got to assist several classes and subteach last year, as well as be a mentor for this year's JTP! Emily is also proud to be a part of the artist crew for the upcoming season of the Luminous Dance Convention Tour! Her goal for her students is to feel seen, empowered, and inspired to step into their light fully knowing they have special and unique gifts that are worth being shared and celebrated. Emily feels so grateful to be a part of the CTP Fam, and hopes that everyone feels they belong a part of it too!
