After graduating with distinction, Dean was hired by the world-renowned Brian Freidman to dance on the X-Factor UK for over 15 million viewers, and later for the X-Facutor UK Arena Tour. He proceeded to dance for Take That on their UK Stadium Tour, The Circus, for over 100,000 audience memebers each night. He went on to dance with artists such as Janet Jackson, The Pussycat Dolls, Leona Lewis, Little Mix, Cheryl Cole, The Saturdays, and JLS.
After working as a commercial dancer, Dean was brought to London's famous West End, where he appeared in the critically acclaimed Michael Jackson tribute show, Thriller Live, as the Swing, Dance Captain and covered roll of Resident Director.
Dean was chosen to be the Assistant Choreographer to Gil Duldulao for the iconic and legendary Janet Jackson. He was concurrently the Associate Choreographer and Dancer for Leon Lewis on her European tour, Art On Ice, and worked with Leona again for her promo tour for Christmas, With Love, and for the X-Factor USA Live Finale.
One of Dean's biggests hilights of his career so far hs been to choreograph Beth Ditto's I Wrote The Book world tour, in which he also perfomred as a dancer. Other hilights include working closely with artists such as Chaka Khan, Anastasia and Lulu on their combined Here Come The Girls tour, and Kylie Minogue on her Kiss Me Once world tour as Associative Choreographer. He has created works for The Walt Disney Company, Vogue, Dolce&Gabanna, Donatella Versace and Anna Wintour.
In collaboration wiht Solange Urdang, Dean founded his own all male dance company, Strike Boys Co. He selects 25 students annually to participate in intense dance training, culminating in a piece of work produced and performed by the company under his creative direction.
