Jeffry Denman

Jeffry Denman is a Broadway singer/dancer/actor best known for starring in the original company of Irving Berlin's White Christmas, for which he was nominated for a Fred and Adele Astaire Award. He was Munkustrap in the final cast of CATS and was featured in the original company of The Producers which led him to pen the memoir, A Year with The Producers. 

Jeffry's other Broadway and New York performing credits include: Face the Music and Of Thee I Sing at Encores!, and Dream and How To Succeed on Broadway. He choreographed his first Off Broadway show in 1999, Naked Boys Singing, which ran for over 12 years. He was nominated for a Lucille Lortel Award and an SDC Joe A Callaway Award for his choreography in YANK! at the York Theatre and worked alongside acclaimed director David Cromer on the subsequent workshops.

Other off-Broadway credits include providing choreography and/or staging for Assistance (Playwright's Horizons), Bullet for Adolf (New World Stages) and Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice (NYMF Award - Honorable Mention - Best Choreography). Regionally, at Ogunquit Playhouse, he choreographed The Music Man (Broadwayworld Award nom) and directed and choreographed Damn Yankees: The Red Sox Version starring Carson Kressley. He won an Artie Award for Best Choreography for Dancing in the Dark at Musicalfare Theatre in Buffalo.

He has directed/choreographed over a dozen installments of the Broadway by the Year concerts at Town Hall as well as All Singin, All Dancin, A Tribute to Lerner and Loewe and Broadway Unplugged.

He graduated from the University of Buffalo where he was mentored by acclaimed musical theatre educator and director/choreographer Lynne Kurdziel-Formato (currently a professor at Elon University) and was exposed to all styles of dance including contemporary, ballet, ballroom/partnering - all of which influence his theatrical choreographic style.
