He began learning by watching music videos and eventually got invited to audition for a local dance crew. Over the next few years, he built his name in the east coast choreography scene, taught dance workshops and DJ’d events. In 2010 he packed up his Honda Civic and drove 40 hours cross-country and moved to Los Angeles.
While the first few years were tough, Matt was able to establish himself as one of the elite dancers in the hip-hop dance industry and grew his following to over 30 Million followers across all platforms with over 5 Billion views. His list of accolades includes dancing with artists such as Taylor Swift, Jason Derulo, Meghan Trainer, and on shows like Step-Up, So You Think You Can Dance & The Ellen Show. Matt is also the founder of the DNCR Academy (DNCR.com), an online dance platform that teaches thousands of students around the world how to dance with online tutorials from LA’s best instructors.
In 2016, Matt won season 28 of The Amazing Race, which took his celebrity to new heights and gave him the opportunity to work not only as a dancer but also as a host and actor.
