Ryan’s class challenges students to focus their attention on musicality and quality of movement with the desire to tell a dynamic story. Rhythmic in nature, his movement asks students to commit to quotidian hyperbolized for theatricality. Class begins with a thorough jazz/ballet based warm up (heavy in isolations) and continues with either a short across-the-floor or center combo to get acquainted with the style being worked on that day. Combinations are narratively-driven with an emphasis on individuality and groove!
