Class Descriptions

Contemporary

Waverly’s class focuses on the relationship a dancer has with the music for it can be challenged, embraced, and celebrated. The aesthetic of the class highlights the connection of contemporary movement with underground hip-hop influences. The class includes a versatile range of improvisation, floor work, repertory from Waverly, and vigorous phrases created on the spot with the dancers. The main goal of the class is to make sure the dancer feels pushed and inspired from their own sleeves after going through the class.
